Discover Grisebach

This fall we will celebrate the 25th anniversary of Villa Grisebach’s founding. This anniversary presents us with an occasion for three fundamental expansions.

The first of these you are holding in your hands: Grisebach-Journal will regularly bring the spirit of our firm home to you in a special way – this magazine for art, people and values tells the stories behind the works coming up in our next auction, presented by prominent writers from their unusual perspectives. The magazine was conceived and edited by our new partner, Florian Illies. Perusing Grisebach-Journal, you will have a first look at some of the highlights of our anniversary auction.  Perhaps you will be inspired to add works from your collection to our offerings on this very special occasion – consignments are accepted until the end of September.

On September 1st we set an emphasis on North Rhine-Westphalia: the opening of our new premises in Düsseldorf. The director of the representative office will be Daniel von Schacky, who has worked in a leading position in our Berlin head office for the past five years. The new office reflects the ever-increasing interest that collectors from the region are showing in Villa Grisebach.

Lastly, to coincide with our anniversary, we will hold our very first auction of 19th Century Art this fall.

But now you are cordially invited to a special preview of our offerings of paintings, sculptures, drawings and photographs from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries.
