Berlin, 6 May 2013: Several masterpieces of German Expressionism by the important Brücke artists will be offered at Villa Grisebach’s spring auctions in Berlin from May 29 until June 1. The total pre-sale estimate is more than 17 million euros. Emil Nolde’s large “Landschaft (mit Regenwolke)” is estimated at 1 to 1.5 million euros, Karl Schmidt-Rottluff’s radiant “Landschaft mit Leuchtturm und Windmühle” of 1920 at € 800,000/1,200,000 and Otto Mueller’s coquettish portrait of his lover, titled “Mädchen mit grünem Schal”, at € 700,000/1,000,000. more ...
